FAQS

AFTERCARE

Threading is considered the best alternative to waxing and tweezing, and is very gentle on your skin. However, those with sensitive skin may experience a little redness after a treatment which will subside after a few hours. If you experience a discomfort, we recommend applying a cold compress over the treated area followed by toner or cooling gel that contains aloe vera or witch hazel.

What should I do after my treatment?

No matter whether you have sensitive skin or not, we always recommend applying soothing ingredients such as an ice pack/cold compress, soothing rose water or aloe vera to help ease inflammation and redness. We also recommend the following:

  • Wear a minimum of SPF 30
  • Gently wash the treated area with anti-bacterial face wash.

What should I avoid after my treatment?

While most people don’t experience much irritation or breakouts after threading, we do recommend that you avoid the following things on/around the treated area:

  • Avoid touching the treated area for at least 12-24 hours to reduce the risk of causing breakouts and/or irritations.
  • Do not exfoliate for at least 24
  • Do not apply make-up or perfumed products for at least 12 hours
  • Avoid hot showers or baths for at least 2 hours
  • Avoid steam treatment or heat source like sun bathing / tanning beds, hot baths or sauna for at least 24 hours.
  • Avoid swimming or spray tanning 24-48 hours post threading.
  • Avoid tweezing and shaving in between treatments
